History

With the prime objective of promoting the splendid and unique combination of natural beauty, unity within diversity and the available and potential tourism products of Eastern Nepal among travel lovers of neighboring countries, the first event of promoting the tourism of East Nepal was organized in 2012 A.D. Three events of Eastern Regional Tourism Fairs were conducted in three consecutive years in Biratnagar, Dharan and Damak.

ETM 2018

To promote tourism of East Nepal more effectively and efficiently, the first East Tourism Mart is scheduled for June 7-9, 2018 (Jestha 24-26, 2075 B.S.). It offers a platform of first B2B (Business to Business) event for the promotion of Virgin East of Nepal. East Nepal has enormous tourism prospects and is expected to avail the remarkable gathering of Buyers from different states of India, Bhutan, Bangladesh, and China, Sellers, National and International Media, Travel Industry Professionals and Delegates.

It will be a unique forum for facilitating business network, sharing experiences and knowledge, valuable insights and business opportunities among the participants.

Objectives of ETM 2018

The major objectives of the Mart are as follows:

  • To promote the tourism destinations and activities of East Nepal.
  • To facilitate Business to Business platform among the trade participants.
  • To share the experience, knowledge and current trend in tourism.
