Nepal Makes a Strong Comeback in South IndiaMonday, April 2nd, 2018

Nepal’s participation in Travel and Tourism Fair (TTF) Chennai 2018 concluded successfully on 18th of February 2018 with the strong presence of Nepal in South Indian Market. A two day fair was organized from 16-18 February 2018 in Chennai Trade Centre, Nandambakkam, Chennai, India.

 

TTF is the Indias largest travel show network which provides marketing platform and the opportunity to network with the key travel trade players. This years TTF Chennai was participated-in by over 136 exhibitors from 6 countries and 20 Indian States and Union territories. The international participation at TTF Chennai 2018 was led by Nepal, the Partner Country of the event.

 

Nepal’s participation ended on a high note with Nepal receiving Best Stall Decoration Award in the Big Pavilion category.

 

Nepal’s participation at TTF Chennai 2018 featured a customized Nepal pavilion with colourful graphics of prime destinations, products and activities of Nepal with special focus on pilgrimage and soft adventure attraction that Nepal has to offer to the South Indian visitors. Nepal is popular among the South Indians for pilgrimage tourism such as Lord Pashupatinath, Manakamana, Muktinath and DamodarKunda. The inquisitive young visitors at the fair thronged stalls put up showcasing the various touristic hotspots, adventurous and mountainous destinations. The representatives of NTB disseminated the information to the trade visitors and consumers visiting the stall.

 

Similarly, the Posters of Pashupatinath, Mutinath and Mt. Everest were of high demand among the visitors. A variety of videos were also played at the stall promoting nature, culture and adventure products and activities offered by Nepal.

 

Mr. CN Pandey, President of Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents, was also present in the fair and he expressed his satisfaction on the overall participation of Nepal in the fair.


NTB was represented in the event by Mr. Khem Raj Timalsena, Kundan Sharma Mishra and Mr. Jhamak Narayan Ghimire. Likewise, Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA) was represented by CN Pandey. 13 Companies participating the fair under the NTB banner were Satyam Tours & Travels Pvt.
