NTB’s Experience Nepal Campaign to collaborate in M Festival 2018

KATHMANDU, Feb 08: An Australian company specialized in running projects with social importance, cultural values and community aspects predominantly targeting the Nepalese and Multicultural Communities in Victoria is going to present M festival 2018, a festival of momo (Nepalese dumplings), music and more. The vision of this festival is to spread the love and joy of momo and promote Nepal.

 

The co-ordinator of the M Festival Mr. Raju Shakya said the event is expected to attract more than 25,000 local visitors. According to Mr. Shakya, the organizers are putting together plans to collaborate with NTB’s Experience Nepal campaign where NTB is doing global promotion of Nepal’s tourism pioneer Mr. Karna Shakya led ‘Globalizing Nepalese Cuisine’ campaign (GNCC).

The Chief co-ordinator of Experience Nepal campaign Mr. Deepesh Man Shakya is delighted to see the effort of  Nepalese diaspora in Victoria to promote Nepal’s cuisine, art and culture. He said the campaign will do its utmost best to help make M Festival 2018 a grand success.

The organizers have successfully organized events like M Festival 2017, Nepathya live in Melbourne, Maha Yatra Melbourne, Nepal Kite Festival 2016, Euphonic featuring Bipul Chettri and Albatross.

M festival 2018 will take place over 3 days from Friday, 23 March to Sun, 25 March in The Coburg Velodrome, Coburg. The main highlight of the M Festival 2018 will be 30+ varieties of momo. To compliment the delicious momo, there will be fantastic world music by bands from Nepal and Australia.

M festival 2018 will also be a celebration of Holi and will include various multicultural performances, exciting dance segments, DJ Dance, momo competitions, food and drinks stalls, and markets, face painting, play area for kids. M Festival 2017 created a huge hype and attracted around 15,000 people, of which 60% were local Australians. The festival is described by locals as the best ever multicultural festival to have staged in Coburg.
